Anyone who ventured outside after Thursday's severe storm got treated to a beautiful sighting of rainbows over the eastern sky of Oak Park. Here are some of the photos readers have sent us.

If you've got photos of this phenomenon email them to digital@oakpark.com.

This article has been updated to correct the fact that the Web department is directionally challanged after 10 p.m.

Great shot, Janice. I can't believe I missed it and I live right across the street. Maybe the spirits are blessing Irving School's new playground.

The rainbows were over the eastern sky, not the western.

Amazing shots. By my reckoning the pots of gold should be in Berwyn and Portage Park ; )
