Henry Martin Hulseberg, 63, died on April 12, 2011. Born on Aug. 18, 1947, he was a Chicago Public School teacher for 33½ years. Mr. Hulseberg attended Knox College in Galesburg, the Chicago Divinity School, and earned his master's degree at National Louis University. His professional experience and education were put into practice while working for Johnson, Jenson, and Tennyson schools and Hope Middle School. He had a wealth of knowledge and was an aficionado when it came to electronics, computers, photography, poetry and plumbing.

As former owner of Forest Park Antiques, Mr. Hulseberg and his late wife, Janice Derrick, helped shape that community into what it has become today. During his retirement, along with his partner, Sandy Jefferson, he became a devoted volunteer at First United Church of Oak Park, PFLAG, The OP-RF Food Bank, OPALGA, and the Mental Health Support Group of Thrive.

Henry Hulseberg donated his body to the Biological Resource Center of Illinois. A memorial service is planned for 1 p.m., Saturday, June 4 at First United Church of Oak Park, 848 Lake St. Memorials to the church or to the OP-RF Food Bank, at the same address, are appreciated.
