Oak Park Post Office on the naughty list

Nothing like being in a foul mood during the holidays, especially when you are just trying to share the magic of Santa with your children. Well, it's the end of the year and I am flying by the seat of my pants.
I just went to the Oak Park post office to mail things off and to make sure that the Santa mail box was in it's place so that my kids could send off their last minute wishes. I was surprised that it was not there! When I asked the mail clerk about it, she said that it never came out this year. What the heck? Seriously? My kids rely on that box! Maybe it's a lame tradition, but I was hoping that the memories of mailing a letter to Santa would give them warm fuzzies when they are my age (old and crabby). I think the post office needs to bring back the box (BBTB!) This has to be a worst-of-Oak-Park (WOOP). Is anyone else as outraged as I am over this?

This is lame on the part of the post office...that said, it's just another of MANY indications that the Oak Park P.O. is sorely mismanaged. Ever notice how the building reeks of cigars mid-day? Follow the scent to the Postmaster's closed/locked door.
