On Saturday, 6/29 at 6:30pm come to River Forest for the "University Band Pop Concert" at Concordia University, 7400 W. Augusta.  It's on the Pillar's Lawn or in the Chapel if we have rain.  You can get ready for the Fourth of July with this annual Free Event. If you need inspiration for your outdoor space or just want to see how others use theirs, remember that on Sunday, 6/30,  from 10am - 4pm it's the "Garden Walk, 2013" .  It begins at the Oak Park Conservatory, 615 Garfield and is a self-guided tour through some of the most beautiful gardens in Oak Park and River Forest.  Get tickets at 708-725-2400, www.fopcon.org , or the Oak Park Visitor's Center. 

Also on Sunday from 2 - 4pm you might want to take the "Walking Tour of Historic Riverside's South Division".  It begins at the Riverside Railroad Depot, 90 Bloomington Road.  Get tickets at 708-442-7675.  For details,  www.olmsteadsociety.org .
